Stalwart DIY label GoldMold Records are back with another inspiring live night. Lush, slacker alt band Sulk are accompanied by up-and-coming dynamic indie-rock trio Pillow Talk. If you want a night to discover fresh, excited new talent in Glasgow, this is for you!
Thursday, January 11: Slippery Nights Presents – Girl Sweat + Blana Grande + Acid Cannibals
One man party machine Girl Sweat will be taking you on a swirling journey through the garage spectrum. Accompanying him will be audio lounge, math maniacs Blana Grande and abrasive sesh lords Acid Cannibals.
Friday, January 12: Deathkill4000 (club night)
Deathkill4000 has been running since 2003, it is wholeheartedly anti-establishment and features a wide range of alternative music whilst eschewing irony in all its despicable musical forms. Expect: Industrial / Bass / Electronic / Rock / Digital / Dance.
Saturday, January 13: Monster Hospital (club night)
Sociopathic DJ chops from DJ duo Beyvnce Nailz and C4lvin Malice. Imagine the Cathouse without the kindergarten.
Sunday, January 14: Bloc+Jam Open Mic
For the last few years Bloc+ has been running one of Glasgow’s most popular and consistently high-quality open mic nights, thanks largely to Jamie Sturt and friends, not to mention our incredibly gifted and facially pleasing clientele.
The gear is all ready to go so, if you’re fed up spending Sunday nights apprehensively contemplating the weekdays of early morning traffic, water-cooler small-talk, dole-office appointments or car theft, pop along and enjoy Bloc’s warm atmosphere and cold beverages. Or is it cold atmosphere and warm beverages…?
